‘Currawong Uncaged’ the menacing stare of the “backyard shark”. Currawongs are ruthless when hungry, stealing new born chicks while the parents (and I) helplessly look on and shriek in distress. They are an impressive bird to look at, paint and study, with their engaging yellow eyes and muscly physique but I’m not a big fan of their ugly table manners.
